A partner in Jupiter USA, Dr. Wolfgang Dueren, began developing properties in the US in 1978. He started the business as a developer and financed it predominantly with Private Equity funds. The ventures were successful and, over the years, the size of the projects increased and the business was focused on the entitlement and development of larger tracts of land.  
 
In 2000, Christian Thier joined Dr. Dueren, initially on a consulting basis, and in 2003 as a full time partner. Dr. Dueren and Mr. Thier founded Jupiter USA in Orlando, FL.

Jupiter specializes in locating high-return residential and commercial investment properties. It focuses on the acquisition of larger tracts of land, in areas of strong population growth and excellent economic outlook throughout the Unites States. Jupiter assembles project specific teams of local and regional professionals to bring the projects to market, creating the highest value possible through strategic planning and management.

The expertise of Jupiter is in the acquisition, planning and entitlement of properties. Where warranted and necessary, Jupiter is prepared to take a project through a DRI (Development of Regional Impact) process and the initial development stages. After completion of these stages, the property is sold, either in bulk or in individual sales. The company focuses strictly on the early stages of the development process.
